BBvisory LLC ("BBvisory," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how that sharing happens, how we protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to visitors to https://bbvisory.com and to people who enroll in our online courses under the "AI Over 50" brand or engage us for AI advisory and agentic AI systems work.
BBvisory LLC is a California (USA) limited liability company. Our services are digital education and advisory services intended for adults. We do not sell physical goods, and we do not sell your personal information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information we need to provide our services. This falls into a few general categories.
Information you provide directly
- Contact information and messages. When you email us or book an introductory call through Calendly, we collect your name, email address, and any information you choose to include in your message or booking (for example, the reason for your call).
- Course enrollment details. When you enroll in an "AI Over 50" course, your enrollment is handled through the Maven course platform. This typically includes your name, email address, and account details you provide to Maven.
- Advisory and systems engagements. If you engage us for AI advisory or agentic AI systems work, we collect the information reasonably needed to carry out that engagement, as set out in our separate written agreement with you.
Payment information
Course payments are processed by Stripe through the Maven platform. Stripe is a PCI-compliant payment processor. BBvisory does not collect or store your full card or payment numbers. That information is collected and handled by Stripe and Maven, not by us.
Technical and usage information
When you visit our website, we may automatically collect limited technical information, such as basic server log data and general analytics data (for example, the pages you view). We may also use cookies or similar technologies, as described in the "Cookies and Analytics" section below.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your emails, questions, and requests;
- Schedule and conduct introductory calls you book with us;
- Enroll you in and deliver our courses, and communicate with you about them;
- Send you marketing and promotional communications about other BBvisory offerings we believe may benefit you, such as free lessons, paid courses, community memberships, and our newsletter (you can opt out at any time);
- Provide and administer advisory and agentic AI systems engagements;
- Process payments (through Stripe and Maven) and keep necessary records;
- Operate, maintain, and improve our website and services;
- Protect our services and users, and detect or prevent fraud or misuse; and
- Comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the limited circumstances described below.
Service providers we rely on
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run our business. We share information with them only as needed for them to perform their services for us, and they handle your information under their own terms and privacy safeguards. These providers are:
- Maven — our course platform, used to manage enrollment and deliver "AI Over 50" courses.
- Stripe — our payment processor (via Maven), which handles card and payment data.
- Google Workspace — our business email, used to receive and respond to your messages.
- Calendly — our scheduling tool, used to book introductory calls.
- Vercel — our website hosting provider.
Legal and safety disclosures
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or where we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect our rights, our users, or the public, or to enforce our agreements.
Business changes
If BBvisory is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, consistent with this Privacy Policy.
4. How and by What Means We Share Information
This section explains the method by which we disclose information. When we share information with the service providers listed above, we do so only to the extent needed to provide our services, and that information remains subject to each provider's own terms and privacy and security safeguards. Information is transmitted over the internet using secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS) where available. Payment card details are transmitted directly to, and handled by, Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor, rather than passing through or being stored on BBvisory's own systems. We do not post your personal information publicly, and we do not disclose it to third parties for their own marketing purposes.
5. How We Protect Your Information
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of website traffic in transit using HTTPS;
- Reliance on Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor, so that we never handle full card numbers;
- Using reputable service providers (listed above) that maintain their own security practices; and
- Limiting access to personal information to those who need it to operate our business.
Please remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
6. Cookies and Analytics
Our website may use cookies or similar technologies and basic analytics to help the site function and to understand general usage, such as which pages are visited. You can usually control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how some parts of the website work.
7. Data Retention
We keep your information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, communicate with you, and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, and for as long as required to meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations. When we no longer need your information, we take steps to delete it or otherwise stop using it.
8. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information; and
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal and record-keeping requirements.
To make a request, please email us at brett@bbvisory.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
9. Refunds
Course purchases are covered by Maven's Satisfaction Guarantee. A full refund is available within the eligible window for your cohort: for courses shorter than four weeks, through the course midpoint; for courses that are four weeks or longer, through the first two weeks. Refunds after the applicable window are considered on a case-by-case basis. Advisory and systems engagements are billed according to a separate written agreement.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for adults 18 and older (the "AI Over 50" brand serves professionals aged 50 and above). Our services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
11. Governing Law
This Privacy Policy and any related matters are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our website or services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
